Why it is not enough to “just” be a photographer!

One thing is clear to us: in advertising photography it is not enough to “just” be a photographer. The term “just” is briefly explained: With the flood of photographers these days and all the photographic areas that exist, it is becoming increasingly difficult for brands and companies to find the right partner for the right project. In advertising photography, it is not enough to “just” press the shutter button or take “nice” pictures.

The complexity of the subsequent actions required with the image material is significantly different in advertising photography than is the case with wedding photography, for example. There are numerous points to consider in advertising that most (non-genre) photographers don’t think about. Which printing processes are the images used for? Does it require different data in RGB and CMYK? The latter color space, which is used in offset printing for example, cannot reproduce such intense colors as we can see in RGB on a monitor. The printing process would sometimes require special colors, but does the customer want to afford them, or is it enough to post-process the data separately as CMYK? In addition, the layout, another important aspect and essential for the advertising agency or in-house media designer of the brands and companies. Will the media be created in portrait or landscape format or square? If images span multiple pages, you could run the risk of the important image content disappearing in the fold of the catalog or magazine. Do headlines and running texts have to be placed on the images? The most beautiful picture is worthless if the main image content is placed in the wrong place, and the brightest colors on a smartphone display are also worthless if they look completely different than expected in the printed advertisement, company magazine or catalog.

Product Photography

In our studios in Eggenfelden with 70 – 300 sqm, we are excellently equipped for every kind of product photography from small parts to complete vehicles. Likewise, 360° images can also be realized for large vehicles using a turntable. If, for organizational reasons, it should not be possible to bring your products to us, we are always well prepared to produce them at your company with our mobile studio.
